Adventure Boot Camp Transformations!
“I lost 9 inches in my first 4 weeks! Overall, I went from a size 12/10 to a size 6/4!”
I used to spend lots of time in the chiropractor’s office for issues in my neck. They wanted to do several different procedures which involved lots of visits and shots in my neck. I told them, “no thanks,” and have never been back since I started boot camp. I have not been sick in over 2 years and I believe it’s due to the changes to my body, both physically and mentally. To be able to accomplish boot camp everyday and change my diet is the best self reward. I feel there are times to let things happen and times to make things happen. Being surrounded by motivated people and people who enjoy life has helped me succeed. Also, having my family’s support means the world to me. I have no boundaries, but an open door to take care of myself! Diane
I had always been active in my teens and early 20s. However, after finishing a ½ marathon 3 years ago, I had a really hard time getting back into something physically active. During that time, I was really depressed and in such a funk that it was hard to motivate myself to do anything. Finally after doing some looking online and finding this bootcamp, I signed up! This has been the best thing for me and I have gotten back to my old self. Shaye
Today I wore my first pair of shorts, in public, in over 10 years (since my junior year in high school). I didn’t feel out of place, I felt confident and proud to show off my new legs. This may not seem like a big deal but it is because self confidence for an overweight person is hard to find. I have this new confidence because of you and the bootcamp program. I have this new confidence because I put in the hard work and I am starting to see the results. I have many more goals to achieve and pounds to loose but today was proof that I can do it. So, thank you. Tiffany
Your ability to motivate without abuse is your strongest quality. (Not that all of your other qualities aren’t strong, too). I have seen women who would never stick with a program at a gym stay with your program. These women are the kind that normally would be afraid to exercise, for fear of ridicule or failure, but you are able to motivate & encourage them to the point that they become athletes. That is amazing. Becky
I THANK MY LUCKY STARS THAT I’M IN YOUR BOOT CAMP. YOU DO A GREAT JOB AND HAVE A GREAT GROUP. I ALWAYS THOUGHT I HAD TO DO THINGS MYSELF AND THE SUPPORT I GET FROM YOU AND THE REST OF THE GIRLS HAS REALLY ENCOURAGED ME. ALTHOUGH I MAY MOAN AND GROAN AT SOME OF THE WORKOUTS I CAN’T WAIT TO GET TO CLASS. THANKS SO MUCH. TODAY WAS A LOT OF FUN AND A GOOD WORKOUT. THANKS AGAIN!! MARY BETH H.
I think that you have kept me in it for officially a year now which I have never stuck with a work out program for that period of time. I am seeing results and have wonderful definition. Everyone around me can see the changes! Paige
There is a difference in camps. Each one brings a little more intensity. But the change up with more of the cardio/speed training and the Wednesday choice of runs has made a huge difference. There is differently a more focused and intense training attitude going around. My personal goal is being meet and getting there with a great group of “boot campers” is awesome. I like that you are focusing on core exercise, especially for me because my back can go at the drop of a dime. My back pain is minimal and you make sure that we are not doing our exercises is a way that will not inflame the back. Even though this is a group camp you make sure to give individual attention when and where needed. And last but not least I just purchased a bathing suit one size smaller than last year!!! Trisha
I was thinking about when I first came to your camp several summers ago. You kicked my butt the first week! The first Wed at Thunderbird, I could not make it without stopping several times to catch my breath – now I run it! This last year you have helped me to become stronger, know more about my body and to learn to eat right (although sometimes I don’t:) and I am ready for a 75 mile backpacking trip in July. Thank you, thank you, thank you for what you have brought to my life. I could never have done it without you! Sheila
My initial goal was to increase fitness level and gain more strength. I feel like I am reaching that in a fun environment, where I am pushing myself to do more than I would on my own. I’ve met some really fun people, and I’ve enjoyed your (Lisa’s) positive, motivating approach. I’ve remained at the same weight, but my body fat has decreased 4 percent. I’ve also shaved almost 2 minutes off my timed mile. I feel more energetic, and I actually look forward to camp each week. It’s definitely worth every penny. I never thought I would look forward to waking up at 4:45 am and driving 10 miles to work out, but this is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Believe me, it’s worth it. Thank God for boot camp. I’m a happy camper! Thank you, Carol
I just came from the dr. office to go over blood work. He says that thanks to my change in diet and exercise and losing weight my cholesterol is now at a very healthy 189!! Far from that beginning number of 320 that got me to begin boot camp. He said that both my good and bad numbers were way into the healthy range and he couldn’t ask for anything better. I was so happy and proud of myself as I have reached my ultimate goal of being healthy on the inside. Thank you for kicking my butt on a regular basis and for all of the support. I look forward to continuing to reach goals, even if they do take me 3 years to achieve. Fifty is fabulous! Deb
